Freshly picked green, crisp Isle of Wight Asparagus is now available at Farmer Jacks shop with deliveries twice a day.  Renowned as an aphrodisiac since Roman times, asparagus is not only delicious served in a variety of ways, it is also low in calories and extremely good for you. 

Farmer Ben Brown grows Isle of Wight Asparagus on his family farm in Arreton, and has won national recognition for its exceptional flavour.  Luckily for us, we can enjoy its fabulous flavour within hours, even minutes of it being picked. How fresh is that! 

Tantalizing us with its unique flavour and versatility, asparagus can be enjoyed in a variety of delicious ways.  It can be simply steamed, adding a knob of butter, a sprinkling of sea salt and black pepper, and a squeeze of lemon juice for a simple starter or a delectable light dish .  Or serve traditionally with a dollop of home-made hollandaise sauce (or use a jar of our ready-made sauce).  Roasted asparagus is great with your Sunday joint too and can even be char-grilled on the barbeque.  But there’s more,..asparagus for breakfast!  Just dip gently steamed asparagus into soft boiled eggs for a truly extravagant start to the day. Mmmmmm
