Farmer Jack's Farm Shop

Whether you are just looking to do your regular grocery shop or seeking something special for a particular occasion our farm shop offers all you need and more, catering for all tastes. As well as a wide variety of local produce there are many high quality fine foods that have been carefully chosen by us to share with you.


Our in-house butcher supplies an extensive range of locally reared meat, poultry and game. Over 75% is sourced from Island farmers. All our meat is carefully sourced, properly hung and hand cut by our in-house butchers.  Our pork comes from Combley Farm, lamb from Dunsbury Farm, poultry from Sheepwash Farm, and beef from Kemphill Farm.

If there is something particular you are looking for, like a specific cut or joint then feel free to give us a call. Tom Caddy and his team prepare cuts from head to tail and are willing to fulfil whatever your request. Of course you can phone through your orders and they will be happy to prepare it, ready for you to collect.


Our delicatessen demonstrates the passion for food that is shared by everyone involved with Farmer Jack's. With a vast array of local, regional, national and international delights that includes over 20 different cheeses, a selection of olives and antipasti, cured meats, self service flavoured oils and many other carefully sourced delicacies.

Food Hall

Throughout the food hall there is a considerable range of accompaniments many of which have won great taste awards. Chutneys, jams, mustards, pickles, sauces and condiments are provided to compliment any meal.

Freshly baked bread, dairy produce and local seasonal fruit and vegetables are sourced wherever possible together with other imported products in order to complete your shopping list.

The Island Bakers
Bakers of Artisan Breads and Patisseries

The Island Bakers, was set up in 2011 in Lake by Artisan Baker,  John Fahy, a trained chef who has a real passion for bread, and his partner Helen.  Since then, they have gained a host of awards from the Guild of Fine Food, and are proud to support the Real Bread Campaign.  Each handcrafted loaf has been traditionally mixed,  pummeled, shaped and baked, so with fresh deliveries every morning, you will not be disappointed.   Artisan bread is lovingly mixed, fermented, shaped and baked by an Artisan Baker who is highly trained to understand the science behind the chemical reaction of the ingredients.

Their assorted range of Artisan breads and patisseries such as handcrafted Daily Brown and Seed and Malted come in small and regular sized loaves.  Rustic cheddar topped rolls, and  the Island Bakers’  Wight Sourdough are popular, with Focaccia great for tear-and-share and Island Ciabatta is just the thing for dipping.

Their perfect Pattisseries are available fresh every day such as squidgy jam doughnuts and rather yummy ring doughnuts too. Traditional Chocolate Brownies and Pecan Chocolate Cookies are on offer for a well deserved mid-morning treat, and who can resist a slice of hand made  Banana Cake or a hunk of sticky Lumberjack Cake?
